This festive season, we are brightening high streets across the UK with our first-ever Christmas window displays, celebrating the moments and people that brought joy in 2024.

At the heart of this campaign is The Pret Foundation, a charity dedicated to addressing hunger, poverty, and homelessness. Through initiatives such as food donations, training programmes, and partnerships with local charities, The Pret Foundation has made a real difference to those in need, donating over five million food items last year. Additionally, for every Pret’s Christmas Lunch sandwich or Very Merry sandwich sold, 50p will be donated to support the Foundation’s work.

At Pret’s Paradise Street shop in Liverpool, the window display honours Elizabeth, a devoted volunteer at Toxteth Women’s Centre. Elizabeth delivers Pret’s food donations to families in need, while also teaching English, assisting with rehoming, and offering unwavering support and kindness. Her dedication and compassion have transformed the lives of countless individuals in her community.

In Edinburgh, Pret’s North Bridge shop showcases Shikha, a committed member of the Milan Senior Welfare Organisation. For five years, Shikha has brought joy to the elderly South Asian community with Bollywood-inspired events, cooking clubs, and digital literacy sessions. Her tireless work fosters connection, combats loneliness, and ensures older individuals feel valued and included.
